But it doesn’t have to be like this.
This doesn’t have to be YOUR STORY
✓ YOU can learn to relax.
✓ YOU can learn to believe in your body.
✓ YOU can learn to control your thoughts and breathing to harness your natural ability to give birth.
With hypnobirthing, YOU can break the cycle and have a calm, confident birth where you feel in control and WRITE YOUR OWN STORY!
Hi, I’m Rose, and I get what you’re going through.
I’ve worked with over 500 couples, just like you, undoing the negative, fear-based conditioning we have around childbirth.
That’s why I’ve specifically designed The Rose Method Hypnobirthing course to help you overcome any fears or anxiety you have around childbirth.
It’s a unique, step-by-step program designed to build confidence and empower you to have the best possible birth experience you can hope for.
The Rose Method Hypnobirthing Course
This complete antenatal and hypnobirthing course covers the right blend of antenatal theory, psychology, and practice based learning. It's designed with you in mind and will have you feeling confident and prepared for the birth of your baby.
Time is our most precious commodity and I want this course to fit into your life easily.
The course includes 12 hours of teaching, for you and your partner. It's usually split over three or four sessions but is uniquely designed to be broken down into one-hour sessions to fit even the busiest of schedules.
You’ll learn
Antenatal Theory:
Physiology and what’s happening to you and your baby during birth.
How your body and your baby work together for a calm and natural birth.
How to nudge your baby and encourage labour to start naturally.
Birth preferences and ways to avoid induction of labour.
Labour and the lead up to birth—prepping for the journey to hospital or the midwives arriving at your home.
How to ask questions, make informed decisions and feel respected and heard by your medical team.
We’ll cover the what-ifs, like unavoidable inductions, planned and unplanned c-sections.
We’ll also talk about those early moments after your baby arrives and how to get going with feeding.
Psychology:
How our thoughts, feelings and perceptions affect labour and birth.
How the words we use impact those thoughts.
How to reframe your thoughts into more helpful thinking and language.
We’re natural imitators, so we'll watch videos of calm births to help retrain and recondition your perception of giving birth.
How to use psychological anchors and visual imagery to help you create and maintain a relaxing environment.
Deep relaxation techniques:
How to achieve and maintain a deep state of relaxation.
Specific breathing exercises that reduce anxiety.
Learn a variety of calm breathing techniques to use for each stage of the birth.
A technique for staying positive if people are telling you about negative birth stories.
How you can still use your hypnobirthing techniques to stay calm and in control even if things don’t go to plan.
“Everybody should do this. My second birth was an amazingly enjoyable experience that I felt in control of.
Despite going against all advice, I had my baby girl in a birthing pool at home with absolutely no pain and with total confidence in my choices and ability to birth naturally. Rose’s courses are Worth every penny!”
— Jenny - Mum from Poole, Dorset

If you’re considered high-risk due to a medical condition, I’d argue that you’ll benefit from hypnobirthing even more than someone who’s low-risk. This is because the techniques I teach you will become coping mechanisms for the reason you’re in the high-risk category.
Let’s say you have a heart condition; the breathing techniques, visualisations, and the growth in confidence you get will help to keep your heart rate constant & healthy. This, in turn, is likely to lead to less intervention but the main benefit is that it will keep you and your baby calm whatever happens along the way.

NCT is good. Many people find it informative but most people say the main benefit is from finding new mum friends. NCT is very much based on the medical model of childbirth, from the language they use to discussing pain relief options.
Whereas hypnobirthing gives you all the knowledge and skills you need to birth with confidence. From understanding what your body is doing during labour to practical breathing exercises to keep you calm and in tune with your body. It means that no matter what happens you’ll feel prepared and give birth feeling calm, confident, and in control.

There’s plenty a birth partner can get from attending hypnobirthing classes. They’ll learn how to support you through the birth and become your advocate to help you get the birth you’re hoping and planning for. Your partner also benefits from not feeling like a spare part (many partners express feeling that way if they haven't done hypnobirthing).
Ours courses also involve your partner so you'll both know what to expect when the time comes. They'll also feel included by learning hands-on comfort techniques so they can take an active role in supporting you during birth.
Here’s what one hypnobirthing partner had to say:
‘Charlotte was extremely scared and doubted her ability to get through labour with or without pain relief and drama. This in turn made me worried about things that could go wrong and I had no idea what support I could give.
The Hypnobirthing course gave me advice on things I could do both before the day and on the day itself. I truly believe Hypnobirthing helped us to have a relatively relaxed and straightforward labour and birth.’

There are different courses out there that focus solely on breathing and mindful techniques. However, the Rose Method Hypnobirthing course includes more than that.
It's actually a complete birth education programme that teaches you about what’s happening in your and your baby’s body. We talk about psychology and how to reframe the language we use to be more helpful and positive, and we practise controlled breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises so that your birth experience is a calm and positive one.

The answer really is that it depends. You can start anytime from 18 weeks. Some people prefer to start early because the more time you have to practise the more prepared and the better you’ll be when the time comes.
Having said that, if you’ve left it late, there’s still time to benefit. Some women prefer to wait until they are near to their due date before learning any hypnobirthing so that it's fresh in their minds.
However, it's more important to get the mindset of hypnobirthing embedded so that labouring the using hypnobirthing becomes second-nature rather than something you have to actively think about during labour itself.
-
The taught portion course is spread across 12 hours. However, to get the maximum benefit from the breathing techniques and deep relaxation, you’ll need to practise. I set you homework that involves listening to guided meditations and affirmations—it really is the nicest kind of homework because you get to relax and even sleep!
Repetition is key to creating positive associations and developing your skills—so that when the time comes, you can achieve and maintain a sense of calm.
-
Of course, I’m going to say yes because I’m passionate about helping women to have positive birth experiences. But I understand that it's so hard to know when you haven't been through labour yet or if you haven’t tried hypnobirthing before.
Giving birth is one of the most precious moments in life, so why would you want to go into that feeling fearful and uncertain? Wouldn’t you rather invest in the experience, dispel any fears, and have a lasting positive memory?

We’re all so busy these days, our lives just seem so full. And the side effects of pregnancy can lead you to feel tired.
Fitting another thing in seems impossible.
But if ever there was a time to slow down and take life a little easier, it is when you’re pregnant. Give yourself permission to slow down, stop, and enjoy it because nine months can disappear in a blink.
I offer flexible course options, in-person in my garden retreat, in-person at your house, or online, and with a choice of times to suit you.
The course is also uniquely designed so you can split it into bite-sized hourly sessions so you can learn at your own pace and fit it in with your lifestyle.
Learning to achieve a deep state of relaxation can also boost your energy. It’s surprising how exhausting it can be to feel weighed down by anxiety. Many women tell me that they continue to use relaxation techniques long after giving birth.
-
Yes, one-to-one classes work well when taught in the comfort of your own home.
Pregnancy-related fatigue and sickness can make it hard for some women to attend groups. Online sessions are a great alternative that allows you to fit things around your schedule, but some people just do better with face to face sessions. I’m super flexible and can come to your home to work with you.
I have taught clients with severe morning sickness before—where most sessions they sit or lie in bed. If this is what you need, just ask.
-
Everyone has doubts, especially when doing something new. It’s normal and only natural. We seem to be the only species that doubts our natural ability to give birth.
I always remind clients that every hypnobirthing story they hear about was from a woman who felt the same way as you do right now. They all felt they were missing something in them and that they wouldn't be that 'good' at it.
It’s only when they go on to have amazingly calm birth experiences that they believe me completely. It’s likely you won’t believe me either…until afterwards.
-
Breathing seems such a simple and obvious thing to do, doesn’t it? I mean, we do it all day, every day.
So it can be hard to believe that doing it wrong can negatively impact the overwhelming sensations that come with labour.
Generic hypnobirthing books and packages can be a mixed bag. They can cover a lot of different things, and get you mixed results.
Some people say that books or hypnobirthing apps are helpful for relaxation, and if you have the self-discipline to practise then maybe that’s the right way for you.
Getting hypnobirthing right and training your thoughts so you can stay calm and in control is your gateway to a positive and empowering birth experience.
On our courses, you’ll get personalised guidance and support with every aspect of childbirth and you’ll have the opportunities to ask direct questions and get specific advice.
Courses also involve your partner so you'll both know what to expect when the time comes. They'll also feel included by learning hands-on comfort techniques so they can take an active role in supporting you during birth.

I’m so glad you’ve experienced the power of hypnobirthing already. Whether you learned with me or someone else, there’s no need to do the full course again.
You will, of course, remember some things from the first time around, but having a refresher will really help to reactivate and reinforce those skills you learned previously.
There are no guarantees in life.
I’m sorry to say I can’t guarantee you’ll end up with exactly the birth you want.
Our bodies and babies have a tendency to do their own thing sometimes, but …I do know that if you follow my course and practise what you learn, you’ll go into childbirth feeling calm, confident, and in control.
And that’s way better for you and your baby.
Learn how to:
Believe in your body
Believe in your natural birth-ability
Don’t have nightmares about giving birth.
Don’t let doubt and fear get in the way of such a precious moment in your life.
